Vaccination and Microchips Clinics

PCAS hosts a vaccination and microchip clinic in our Adoption Center (Building A) every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon. Not a Pasco County resident? Not a problem! We welcome residents from all counties who would like to have their pets microchipped or vaccinated.
Appointments are required and are about 10 minutes long for each pet. Your pet will not be seen if you do not have an appointment.
All Pasco County residents will be required to purchase a county animal license if purchasing a rabies vaccination.
For anyone requesting a 3-year vaccination, proof of previous vaccination is required.
Each appointment is for up to 3 pets. Pet owners must make separate appointments for each additional group of 3 pets.
Please note that Pasco County Animal Services and it’s staff are not able to sign, or support any requests for health certificates, travel certificates, or any type of travel documentation for your pet.
While Pasco County Animal Services does not currently offer a full-service wellness clinic, there are a few options for affordable veterinary care in our county:

What is Microchipping?
Microchipping is a safe, easy and effective way for your pet to find their way back home if they get lost. Microchips are smaller than a grain of rice but carry all the information that the finder of your pet needs to contact you. They are inserted just below your pet’s skin and each carries a unique ID number that when scanned, reveals your contact information. It remains active for the entirety of your pet’s life.
In order to be effective, your microchip must be registered. You can do this through your local vet or third-party microchip vendor. Microchips are not GPS devices and do not contain any sensitive personal information.
