Office Overview
The Board of County Commissioners is the legislative and policy-making body of County government. The five Board members are elected at-large and serve staggered four-year terms of office. View the District Map (PDF) The Board appoints the County Administrator and the County Attorney and confirms the appointment of department heads. We establish policy and make all budget decisions with regard to appropriation of funds to County Departments, Divisions, and some Constitutional Officers. Our meetings are normally held every other Tuesday, either at the West Pasco Government Center in New Port Richey or the Pasco County Historic Courthouse in Dade City. Our meetings are broadcast live on Pasco Television and streamed online (and available on-demand) on Pasco County's YouTube Channel.

FAQs
All Board of County Commission meetings, Planning Commission meetings, and Metropolitan Planning Organization meetings are broadcast live on Pasco Television, which may be seen on Brighthouse Networks Channel 622 on or Verizon Channel 42. Meetings are shown at least three times after the original air date. Check the weekly broadcast schedule for dates and times.

Citizens wanting to address the Board of County Commissioners on an item on the agenda can do so at the beginning of a board meeting during the Public Comment portion. Board Meetings start at 10 am and a sign-up sheet is made available at the podium. Citizens are encouraged to arrive early to sign up before the 10 am meeting start time.
Minutes are available online a few days after the meeting. View the County Commission calendar, then select the date of the meeting you are interested in, and a pop-up box will appear with a link to the meeting minutes.

Meeting agendas are posted the Friday afternoon before the scheduled board meeting on the County website.
If an item is being discussed during a public hearing, there will be an opportunity to for the Commission to accept public comment on the issue. If an item is not being discussed during a public hearing, you may make your comments to the board during the public comment portion of the meeting. Each individual is limited to three minutes during public comment.
