Want to have fun? Want to get outside? Want to visit our preserves? The environmental education program wants to help you get what you want out of our conservation lands.
Maybe you love wildflowers. Maybe you love mud. Maybe you love hummingbirds. Maybe you love snakes. Maybe you don’t really know much about any of these things, but you want to learn!
Pasco County Environmental Lands Education Program offers a varied calendar of outdoor and indoor activities, scheduled on weekends, weekdays, after-school and evenings. The activities are free and open to the public on a drop-in basis. Ages of participants range from toddlers to seniors, and we support intergenerational learning.

Many of our activities are outside. We have preserves throughout the county.
Please wear clothing and shoes that will be comfortable and protect you from sun, heat, cold, brush, mud, water and biting insects. These might include long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes and a hat. You may want to bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, binoculars and bug spray.
Scouts, homeschoolers, service clubs, retirement communities and meet-up, religious, senior and youth groups are welcome and encouraged to come to our activities. Teachers may also request field trips and classroom visits.
If you have any questions, please contact our Land Manager via email. Pasco County Environmental Lands values feedback about and suggestions for our environmental education program.
