1. Can Pasco County Sheriff''s Office check on my house when I am on vacation?

Yes. Ask for a ”Vacation House Check” form at West Ops Bldg (Sheriff’s Dept.) on the east side of Little Road just south of WPJC. You can also call (727) 847-5857 to find the address of an office near your home. Officers volunteer to do this on their “off” hours.

3. How can I receive a copy of an arrest report or incident report?

The Pasco Sheriff's Office's Records Unit provides agency records to citizens. They can be reached at 1-800-854-2862, extension 6448 or 813-235-6118, and the fax number is 813-235-6119. In accordance with Florida Statute 119 (Public Records), there may be a fee involved.

4. How do I get a set of my fingerprints?

Note: You MUST provide a picture identification card (driver's license preferred) and your own fingerprint card! There is no charge for this service.

Complimentary fingerprinting services are only provided for the following state statutory reasons:
1. Concealed Weapons Permit Applicants
2. F.S. 499.63 - Application for licenses for certain drug, cosmetic and household products
3. F.S. 537.004 - Title loan lender license applicants
4. F.S. 539.001 - Pawnbroker's license
5. F.S. 648.34 - Bail Bond agent applicants
6. Application for an expungement of records.
7. Application for process servers

5. How do I register as a felon?

Felon registration is now conducted at Pasco Sheriff's Office, Sex Offender Unit, 8700 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34654. Registration is conducted at the entrance off of Government Drive NOT at the main entrance of the Administration Building. Please use Government Drive for access to register and follow the signs. The phone number is 727-815-7114. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Closed Tuesday, Thursday and holidays. Within 48 hours, felons and sex offenders are required to register upon being released from their incarceration or being placed on probation. They must bring any documentation issued to them so the Pasco Sheriff's Office can stamp it to prove they are in compliance. A Florida License, Florida ID card, or D.O.C. ID

6. What are the child seat belt law requirements in Florida?

Florida statute 316.613 Child restraint requirements.

(1)(a) Every operator of a motor vehicle as defined herein, while transporting a child in a motor vehicle operated on the roadways, streets, or highways of this state, shall, if the child is 5 years of age or younger, provide for protection of the child by properly using a crash-tested, federally approved child restraint device. For children aged through 3 years, such restraint device must be a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer's integrated child seat. For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a seat belt may be used.
