Notice is hereby given that applications are being accepted from individuals qualified to fill a vacancy under the category of Education, defined by Local Workforce Development Board Composition, Certification and Decertification Policy Number 91 (CareerSource Florida), as:
“representatives of entities administering education and training activities in the local area, including...a private education provider”.
Additionally, there are vacancies under the Business category, defined by Policy 91, referenced above, as:
“owners of a business, chief executives or operating officers of businesses, or other business executives or employers with optimum policymaking or hiring authority; represent businesses, including small businesses, or organizations representing businesses that provide employment opportunities that, at a minimum, include high-quality, work-relevant training and development in in-demand industry sectors or occupations in the local area; and are appointed from among individuals nominated by local business organizations and business trade associations”.

Who is the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board?
The Pasco Hernando Workforce Board, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that serves Pasco and Hernando counties by administering local workforce development and welfare reform programs as part of the State of Florida and the Federal Government's initiatives. The Board of Directors is made up of volunteer members who are committed to improving the local economy through workforce development and welfare reform.

Conference and Business Facilities
The business services consultant (BSC) coordinates use of CareerSource Pasco Hernando's facilities for the employer, including staff support and assistance, private interview rooms, use of Audio Visual systems, and 3000 square feet of conference/meeting space. Please allow ample time for scheduling.
Quick Response Training - Quick Response funds businesses like yours to implement flexible and customized training for your new, full-time, permanent employees. Available only to new and expanding companies in Florida’s booming business market, Quick Response Training provides funds to create specialized training specifically for your high-skill industry. Grants valued up to half a million dollars are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Incumbent Worker Training - Florida’s Incumbent Worker Training grants can help. The program provides grants for continuing education and training of current full-time employees at Florida companies.
Posting a Job Order sets off a chain of events geared to finding the best applicants as quickly as possible. Job orders can be posted via website, e-mail or fax. The job order is placed in our system and posted within 24 hours. A customer services representative performs an applicant match. Qualified applicants are then given a referral, along with the employer's contact instructions. Once a candidate is hired, the employer notifies CareerSource Pasco Hernando to update their job listing.
Pre-Employment and Training Assessment
To aid employers in pinpointing the most qualified applicants, CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers free assessment tests used by many large corporations. These tests have met with legal scrutiny and have been proven invaluable in predicting the success of potential applicants.
With over 1100 job-specific assessments available, Prove It! is our most versatile testing method. The employer can give a test to a prospective employee (or current employee up for promotion) that tests their ability in "Excel 2010" and/or "Advanced Accounting" and hone in on what skills are required to do the job. In addition, there are position specific abilities such as Product Packaging skills or general industry knowledge assessments such as Manufacturing Basics.
Business Service Consultants (BSC)
Employers located in the Pasco-Hernando region will be provided with a personally assigned business services consultant (BSC), who will be the employer's point of contact, assisting the employer in using CareerSource Pasco Hernando services and facilities.
