This coastal property was acquired on March 27, 2009 and serves as a nesting habitat for migratory birds and listed species including the white ibis and snowy egret, ensuring protection of natural and rapidly disappearing water frontage on the Gulf of Mexico. A nature trail provides nature enthusiasts with access to the sites native forested wetlands, salt marshes, mixed hardwood pine forests, mangrove swamps, tidal flats, and 6 geocaches to discover.
