Adopt-A-Road is a volunteer program that picks up litter along Pasco County roads. In 2019, 723 volunteers worked 1,201 hours. They cleaned 126 miles of road and picked up 15,030 pounds of litter. The program requires a two-year commitment. Groups must adopt a minimum of one mile of road, and agree to have a minimum of four cleanups per year. All supplies such as trash bags and gloves are provided. There is no charge to participate. Not all roads qualify for this program. It must be a Pasco County maintained road, and it must be an arterial or collector road. To find out if a road qualifies, or if you have other questions call 727-834-3611 ext. 1072 or email kking@pascocountyfl.net.
