Pasco County Community Development has two programs that can assist homesteaded homeowners in preserving their homes - Owner Occupied Rehab and the Tax Payment Program (to assist in current and delinquent property taxes. PACE is a program that finances energy improvements and other home improvements for homeowner, rental and commercial properties. The average interest rate of a PACE loan is normally higher than a bank loan, and is paid back through a non-ad valorem assessment on the property tax bill.
