Am I allowed to install a new roof or covering over my dock?

No. Pursuant to the Pasco County Land Development Code, Section 1001.4.B.2-3, roofs, overhead coverings, walls, enclosures, and other similar, visual obstructions are prohibited on docks, lifts, pilings, or similar structures built over the water. Exceptions include any covering constructed prior to June 1, 2010 with required permitting and docks on privately owned inland bodies of water with required permitting.
