1. Where does the Suncoast Trail go?

The trail is a 42-mile, paved trail through Hillsborough, Pasco, and Hernando counties. Contact our office at (813) 929-2760 for further information.

2. Are there any parks that allow camping?

Yes, we have three parks that offer primitive camping:

• Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park in New Port Richey
• Crews Lake Wilderness Park in Shady Hills;
• Withlacoochee River Park in Dade City

The cost is $5 per night. Tent camping is $10 per night. You can also rent cabins at Jay B. Starkey for $20-30 per night. Visit the Parks and Recreation Department Camping Information page for more information.

3. Do you have any dog parks?

Yes. One is located at Anclote Gulf Park at 2305 Baillies Bluff Road in Holiday. The other is at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex at 3032 Collier Parkway in Land O' Lakes.

4. How much does it cost to rent a pavilion or a shelter?

A pavilion is $40 ($45 with electric) with four-hour blocks. A shelter is $25 ($30 with electric) with four-hour blocks.

5. Where can I go fishing?

There is a fishing pier at Anclote Gulf Park, located at 2305 Ballies Bluff Road in Holiday. You can also fish off the dock at Withlacoochee River Park, located at 12449 Withlacoochee Boulevard in Dade City.

6. Where and when do we register for summer camp and how much does it cost?

Registration starts in April and is held at several locations. Contact our administrative office at (813) 929-2760 or check the Summer Information page for our Summer Camp Brochure.

7. When are the beaches open?

They are open year round from dawn to dusk, unless posted otherwise.

8. Can I rent a meeting room at one of the County's recreation centers?

Yes, the cost varies depending on your category. You can contact the site directly or contact administration at (813) 929-2760 for a list of sites. 

9. How do I reserve a shelter or pavilion for a birthday party, picnic or business event?

11. Do you have any boat ramps?

Yes. Boat ramps are located at:

• Anclote River Park
• Middle Lake Park
• Moon Lake Park
• Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park

12. If I want to get married at the beach or a park, does it cost anything? Do I have to make a reservation?

Yes, you can get married at a County beach or park. There is no charge unless you rent a pavilion. Small shelters are $25 ($30 with electric) for four-hour blocks. Larger pavilions are $40 ($45 with electric) for four-hour blocks.

13. Who do we contact to become a food vendor at one of your parks?

Contact the Parks and Recreation Department administration office at (813) 929-2760. The cost is $50 per month.
