1. What are the primary phone numbers for Pasco County government and what are the operating hours?

In general, all Pasco County offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. For specific department information, contact the department you need information from. View department contact information.

2. Who would I contact in order to reinstate my drivers license?

If your Florida license is currently suspended, revoked or canceled; or you have received correspondence from the Florida Division of Drivers Licenses; or to obtain information regarding your driver license history, you may request this information in person at Mike Fasano Tax Collector’s Office. Personal identification is required.

3. What are the locations of the Division of Motor Vehicles?

Driver’s license services are offered at all locations:

5. Who can help me with the installation of baby car seat?

You can contact Florida Highway Patrol at (813) 632-6859 ext. 329 to make an appointment for a safety check. You can also email Florida Highway Patrol for assistance.

6. How do I start an eviction proceeding?

You can get information by visiting Pasco County Clerk of the Court page to download forms or you can pick up a packet at one of the Pasco County court houses.

7. Do I need a permit to add a screen enclosure on my house?

Yes you do need a building permit for screen enclosure. You can contact Pasco County Central Permitting at (727) 847-8126 for more information.

8. I just found out that the home I live in has Chinese Drywall.  How can I find out more information?

You can go to the Center for Disease Control website to get the information pertaining to Chinese drywall.

9. How can I get my soil tested?

You can obtain a soil sample kit at Pasco County Cooperative Extension. They do not test soils for pH; therefore, it is not necessary to bring soil sample(s) to the offices. They do have soil kits in the office that include instructions on how to take the sample(s), bag(s) to contain the soil sample(s), but they no longer have the self-addressed box for mailing the sample(s).

There is no cost for the kit, but there is a $3 cost per sample for pH testing or $7 cost per sample for pH plus macronutrient testing; it is important that your check is made out to the University of Florida and mailed with the sample(s). NOTE: if you do not make your check out to University of Florida, your sample(s)will be sent back.

You will receive the original report from the Soils Lab and Pasco Extension office will receive a copy of the report; if you are in further need of interpretation of the report, call the Pasco Extension office. It usually takes 10-14 days for a report to return to you.
