Review this page to learn more about your first day of employment with Pasco County government.

New hires that begin work on dates designated as "alternate" weeks report to Human Resources on their first day from 8 AM - 9 AM to complete required paperwork and return on an assigned date at 9 AM - for Orientation and Benefits paperwork through 5 PM.

What Happens Next?

First, you become an official employee!

  • I-9 Form:  Identification is required so don't forget to bring 2 forms of ID.
  • ID photo:  Your picture will be taken so come prepared for your glamour shot!

8:00 am New Hire Paperwork
9:00 am  Welcome to Pasco County
9:15 am County Overview of benefits and policies
10:30 Customer Service Training
11:30 Lunch Break
1:00 Ethics training and Harassment training
2- 5 Detailed Benefits review/Health Insurance options

The final set of paperwork is the Insurance Package and all applicable paperwork. This package requires many decisions. No worries! Take this package home for completion in a more relaxing environment then return it to Human Resources within two weeks. You may view the Benefits Guide in advance of your first day!

Be sure to turn in all required benefits paperwork to Human Resources/Benefits within two weeks from your New Employee Orientation date.

As your employment journey continues with Pasco County, please remember that the Human Resources Department is always here to assist you along the way!

Prior to New Employee Orientation, the department will let you know: 

  1. The full address of the location where you are to report on the first day upon completion of orientation. 
  2. The name and telephone number of the supervisor at the location where you are to report
